Odd 150 shot problem.
I'm at an odd stage with my 150 shot. My system is
NOS Sniper bottle
all -4an line
Brand new BRAND X solenoids
Harris Speed works plate
Engine is a 5.3, th400, 4000 stall with anti balloon plate, BR7EF's gapped at .035
Now, my fuel pressure is a bit on the high side thanks to the Corvette regulator, about 65-70ish at idle. Now here is the issue
On a 100 shot, I jetted it at 52- 31 (I know it calls for 27, but I didn't have one around there so I tried it out.) It pulled perfect, and it was just a bit rich but it had no issues. I had about 4 degrees of timing pulled.
I bumped it up to a 150 shot, 62- 35 jets. I would spray in 2nd. My AFR is about 11.3 NA and then on spray it was reading low 9s, and it was bogging a bit. I started down sizing the fuel jet, and I ended up getting to a 20 before it managed to register on my wideband and show some low 10's for an AFR. I was pulling a bit more timing than I should be, 8 instead of 6 just to be safe. But what could be the issue here? I have a full warm bottle with 1000+ psi when I spray.
So my question is, why might I need to be leaning out the fuel side so much more, could something be sticking or plugged? I'm getting plenty of nitrous pressure at the purge and it seems like it's pulling great with the 150 shot.
