What should I set my Window Switch "on" Off" to?
Im new to nitrous. Just installed a Nitrous Express kit on my RX7 which has an LS1 swapped into it with a 4L60E. The engine came out of a 98 Trans Am. It is a wet kit and I am running a 125hp shot. I have a stage 5 RPM 4L60E in it with I think a 3200 stall (it may be a 2800 stall but I cant remember since its been a couple of years). Motor is modded with an LS6 intake, PRC stage 2.5 5.3L heads and a TSP 228R cam.
My question is what RPM should I set the window switch to turn on and off the nitrous? Do I want it to shut off the nitrous before it shifts or to turn it off just before the Rev limiter for safety reasons in case the tranny doesn't shift?
Also I was thinking 3000RPM to turn it on but I have no real reason for this number other than I read spraying below this increases risk of intake backfire. Come to think about it, with the stock RX7 rear end which is about as strong as a C5 Corvette rear end I should probable only hit the nitrous in 2nd gear as well???
Thank for any input!
Jason
