Default WOT switch

So this means, when the nitrous is armed, and you go WOT, the nitrous is shot, but when the nitrous is disarmed, and you go WOT, it will not shoot nitrous?
So it would be spraying nitrous through a whole 1/4 mile run?

Here is how it works... you have your arming switch and your WOT switch in series on the same wire. THis means BOTH have to be active for the nitrous to fire. Therefore you would NOT be spraying nitrous thru the whole 1/4 if you lift off the throttle to shift a manual tranny. However if you powershift or have an auto, you will be spraying the whole way even with a WOT switch. This is where the "window switch" comes into play, which limits the RPM range that the nitrous can spray through. For instance, on my setup, it only sprays if the following conditions are ALL met:

1. Nitrous is armed (arming switch)
2. throttle is at WOT (WOT switch)
3. RPM is between 3000 and 6000 (window switch)

So for your set-up, you can go WOT at about 1900rpms, but the nitrous won't spray until 3000rpms and will stop when you shift gears, then spray as you go back to WOT if it is above 3000rpms?

Bingo!!!! With a window switch it will help save u if you miss a shift and bounce off of the limiter. You set it to turn off the N20 at about 200 before your limiter. The link in my sig has an FAQ page on them if you would like to learn a little more about them.

One quick question, if I am at 4000rpms but the throttle is only at 75 - 80%, the nitrous will not spray, right?

Thanks for the link BMN...

There are two main types of WOT switches - mechanical and TPS based. mechanical switches are setup so that the gas pedal or throttle assembly triggers them physically when the peddle is depressed. You could position the switch so that the throttle is below 100%, but I wouldnt recommend it.

TPS based switches read the Throttle Position Sensor voltage to determine when to activate. These switches are usually adjustable, so you could set them again to activate while throttle is below 100%.

So the answer is: If you set the particular WOT switch that you have to activate at 100% throttle, then no the nitrous will not come on at 75-80% even if the arming switch is ON and the RPMs are within the window switch's lower and upper settings.

Yes u only want to spray at full throttle. Here is a link to a WOT switch on an LS1. You can even put one under your gas pedal. You adjust it by moving it so it won't click on untill you have the pedal almost all the way down. That way it won't kick it at say half or 80%.
