Default Nx maximizer4

Looking into getting one but wanted to hear from some people using it on how they like it. My set up is a simple cam only car on a nitrous outlet plate kit with a 150 shot.

Anybody have any info on this controller?

I am just wondering if this is all i will need to control my plate kit. I just want to make sure it also acts as a window switch and will pull timing only when i am spraying.

Thanks,

I know you can use it as a window switch. As far as pulling timing, it will if you run a ignition box. I'm pretty sure it won't hook into your computer and tell it when to pull timing. Has to be be some sort of external timing controller hooked up to it. I could be wrong though.

It doesn't pull timing. It does have a signal wire for a timing retard box though. On the LS style engines we prefer to use a Lingenfelter box to pull timing. It does however have a window switch and WOT switch built in and it will run 2 stages for a total of 120 amps, which is alot more than many of the other controllers out there.

When using the wideband feature of the unit, how good is it?

It has a 25% correction capability based on what the nitrous system will flow. It can either add or take away fuel. Reads off a 0-5v signal out of your wideband. We have quite a few customers using it. Basically you set your target AFR/Lambda setting and it will keep it as close to that number as possible.

Ok, I guess I'm worried about this feature messing with the kit. For example, a lean spike on a freshly filled bottle.

I'm running your guys 90mm plate kit btw

No, when set correctly it should be able to adjust either lean or rich to correct for that, and it will keep it as close to target AFR/Lambda as possible.

Hey Garrett,

In regards to this post, which wire do I need to use from my innovate mtx wideband? The yellow or brown to the maximizer? Thanks

You'll need to use the yellow wire, it is the 0-5v signal wire.

Thanks,
Garrett
