Just bought a used nitrous kit, first time spraying, questions
Okay so I am planning on spraying my 2002, with 103k miles on it. I got what I think is a good deal, on the following components.
N.O.S. 10 lb Bottle / on bottle gauge
Bottle heater
Nitrous Outlet 78 MM Plate
edelbrock 7190 window switch
Nitrous Outlet Ashtray Switch panel NIB
Both Noids, and a purge kit
Was wondering if anyone had a link to a write up on the best way to wire everything up on an f body, and test the components to make sure their functioning, mainly the noids. Also is there anything else I should get safety equipment wise? I was thinking a WOT switch and FPSS, and probably a wide band.
If I mount the bottle on the hump I was going to forgo a pressure gauge in the cabin, as the bottle will be right next to me basically, but if I do mount outside the cabin I will probably get one.

Heres a link to instructions for our 78mm plate systems, you can reference it for wiring and I can help you with any specific wiring instructions you may have.

I would also invest in an RPM window switch, it will keep things safe.

It will turn off the nitrous if it goes outside an RPM range that you set. You really don't want to bring the nitrous in under 3,000 RPM's and you want to turn it off a few hundred RPM's before your rev limiter.
The cool thing about our window switch is that it has a built in TPS/WOT function as well.
Don't forget your cooler plugs, for anything under 200 br7 NGK plugs would work.
You will also want to pull timing via HP tuners or you can invest in one of these timing retard boxes, they pull timing when the nitrous system is armed.

Let me know if you have anymore questions!
(Also, a wideband is a great tuning tool, but reading plugs with nitrous is the most accurate tuning tool you will have. A wideband will at least let you keep an eye on where things are at though.)
