Default Piston rings for nitrous or.......

I am in the process of building my ls1 it'll be 50-50 street/ track car, Not my daily! Looking to spray 200. I have PRC 5.3 2.5 heads for it, head studs, fast 92mm, Longtubes etc.. etc.. My question is I'm pulling the engine all the way down, I was planning on keeping stock rotating assembly and putting "better" rings in it more suited for nitrous. What would you reccomend ring wise. Or would getting piston and rods be better for the long haul. Thanks

Where should I start with gap size, is there a rule of thumb or formula for figuring gap? Thank you for the help.

This is a good idea for a budget build. Alot of high mile motors already have larger ring gap than factory spec anyways.

If your going to take an assembly apart upgrading would seem logical.
We run the Total Seal AP rings on 99% of our builds. If you install those your concern will be the piston and the tune up and as long as the later is Johnny on the spot you should be fine.
