Bottle heater damaged is it done?

Don't use a heater element that has been compromised. You risk a fire or electrical shorts and shock if you do. You can get the heater elements by themselves and they aren't priced too bad. Here's a link to ours:

I'd definitely suggest getting a new one as that unit is probably toast or wont work correctly.
