What does a msd digital window switch really do? Not understanding the purpose of it can someone explain

So it if I'm understanding right is world with nitrous getting engaged with wot on the pedal then at certain rpm at wit it comes on & does of between shifts if I'm right?

Yes WOT and have it set in a certain range. Say 3500-6000 rpm for example. This way it won't engage at to low of an rpm, and it will stop spraying maybe 200-300 rpm before the rev limiter. Make sense?
