Default Would a nitrous controller help your 60ft?

So right now I have the nitrous outlet plate kit (150 shot) with the basic WOT microswitch mounted behind my pedal. I managed a 1.55 60' when I punched it off the line.
I was curious if a nitrous controller like the NOS 2-stage or a NX TPS/WOT switch help benefit me? Would it make the system "hit" harder off the line? Not sure if I should stick with what I have or spend the money if it'll work. Thanks

If traction is a problem.... Yes absolutely.

But it seems you're looking for it to hit harder, assuming you're already dead hooking. In that case no, a progressive will not help.

The nature of a progressive unit would technically make for less of a hit

Progressive units are for big horsepower cars...I do not think you would benefit from one at your power level.

Yeah I heard the progressive is more for a higher horsepower level, which I figured I wouldn't need. I guess I should of elaborated a little bit more.

Basically I've been thinking about getting rid of the WOT microswitch and get a controller with the TPS switch built in. So I was curious if I switched to that, if it would activate sooner, therefore "hit" harder during the launch? I hope I'm making sense here lol.

Either this NOS 2 step:

The NX unit:

I like these units also because they have a window switch, which I don't at this time. So it would be safer for me as well. Just wanted your guys input on these units. Thanks

I'm assuming you're foot braking off the line...

How soon after are you going WOT?

Yep, foot braking off the line holding it around 2200ish RPM's. I go WOT once the light hits green.

If your 60' is a 1.55 on 150 hit you need a converter adjustment or more nitrous.

Yeah and that sparks up my other thoughts too lol. I have the Yank PT4000 which is a N/A converter. I always thought it may be too loose.

Put 200 jets in it. My car on 150 only did 1.55-1.62 60'. I was also foot braking to 2000=2200 rpm, system had wot switch and MSD window switch set 3000 rpm on and 5800 off. I'm not sure converter being too loose is a issue. Most of the top stock ci. Ls1 nitrous racers had stall speeds 4000-4500.

I'll have to try the 200 shot sometime then. I definitely want to get a window switch installed, it's gets scary with it spraying all the time until it shifts.

Definitely get a window switch...spraying below 3K is not good (say most). However, with that PT4000 I doubt it is. I would be more interested in your shift extensions before changing the converter, it may be fine.

I'm pretty sure tnmotown is lighter than me, but my best 60' is 1.53 (due to my tight *** SS3600 and window switch set at 3K, nitrous doesn't come on til about 10-15' out!!) I am full weight+ with cam and 150 shot.
What do you think a "cam-only+150" should 60'??

My car weighs about 3150 without me in it. I'll most likely get that NOS TPS/RPM switch for safe measure. I would just think with a 150 shot out of the hole would be able to do a little better then 1.55 60'

I agree...something is not right. Are you sure it is hitting instantly or can you feel it come in several feet out (like me)?
I'm full weight+...so over 3600# and even with it coming in 10-15' out still managed a 1.53. With your weight and a dead hit I would think mid 1.4x's

It's hard to tell, it probably comes on just a little bit out of the hole. That's kinda why I'm curious if these electronic controllers will activate the nitrous sooner then the microswitch.

Next time I go out to the track I need someone to record me from the side so I can see how it takes off

Most controllers need to see WOT (based on voltage to the TPS) and whatever RPM you set. When I had my 10 bolt I was OK with it coming on after I was rolling. Now that I have the S60 I want it to hit instantly...I swear my 3600 does not flash past 3000. I have video of mine and you can actually hear the motor bog for a sec before it reaches the 3000 setting to come on. I think I can hit high 1.4's if I get a new converter.
