Planning a LS1 Nitrous build
So the beginning of next year I plan on building up my 98 camaro m6. I need some input and thoughts.
Planning on doing a Moser 9 rear end to bullet proof it. Beefing up the good ol T56. Getting Nitrous Expresses LS1 intake manifold with direct port injection. Forging the LS1 and putting a bigger cam then I already have which is the 222/224 I believe. I can't remember. So I'm currently spraying a 150 shot wet. I'm thinking once I go forge I can possibly bump it up to a 200 or 250 shot on a progressive controller. I know these engines can't take much but being forged would this be "safer" then not forging it? I'm not planning on dragging it on the strip. Maybe here and there but I plan on going to "Mexico" to watch the donkey shows haha.
If the 200-250 shot is safe with a forged engine how would you nitrous gurus set up the progressive controller? 2nd gear 40 rolls mainly. Planning on going with the NITTO 555 possibly NT05 or MT ET streets. In a perfect world I'd love to make 650-700hp.
Thank you.

If your going through the trouble to do forged rods, pistons, and crank just stroke it to 383. You will be a lot happier with the perform of 383 vs. 346 for the money spent on forged parts. You are incorrect on what these engines can take, people spray 200+ shot regularly on stock internals. Forged can go over 300 will ease. Progressive setup is base on traction, if you can hook all 200hp from a 40 roll then you will have no need to progress the ramp. With my car on 295 radial I can leave on 100% 225-250, but with the 235's I start at 50% and ramp to 100% in .7-.8 seconds.
