Post Is adding some 104 vp Oxygenated fuel ok????

Hello everyone,

so my C6Z is currently tuned on 93 with 2 and half degrees pulled on a 100 shot, but im thinking of upping my shot to a 125-150, and wanted to know if adding higher octane unleaded 104 oxygenated fuel would be ok? or should i consider a re tune? car is basically stock

any feedback would be helpful.

I believe the Torco fuel website has a write up on that. I don't remember the recommendation.

Oxiginated fuel slowed me down when I tried it.... Was told afterwards it doesn't work well on EFI engines, guys at the track said its for certain types of high comp carb engines.......buddy tried it as well and also slowed down....straight 103 and up is good with more timing/shot etc but not oxiginated

Because it is oxygenated, it is lighter than standard fuels that you were tuned on. It will require the use of more fuel. Just adding the fuel and not making any other changes, will throw your tune off.

Thank you Brandon and everyone else. Been a good help, so would adding torco help with predetonation? I will just try the 125 shot

No problem. If it were me, I would just pull more timing to be safe. I recommend that you look into getting an LNC-2000. It will make changing horsepower and timing levels a breeze. You can just turn the dial to pull more timing rather than take it to a tuner.
