Max nitrous for SBE and E85
I've always run gasoline 93 in the tank and a stand alone for nitrous enrichment up front with 106-110 race fuel. But, I've always had the safe limitation of a 250 shot on stock bottom end cars. I throw junkyard engine in my toys and let them eat. But, with E85 so available now and boosted guys getting away with murder, its time to up my low nitrous jetting to something more competitive.
Anyone have experience with nitrous settings on stock ring gaps on E85 with the dope?
I'm assuming a 350 setting should be safe. But I have heard mention of race fuel still being used for enrichment form a stand alone on top of the E85 in the tank.
My start for finding information begins today. How stupid can I get on the gas?

There are many factors to figure in as you know. One of our biggest challenges of course is Texas heat and humidity. Though the advantage of E85 is its charge cooling capabilities, it doesn't have **** on nitrous' ability to do it. I would just start with the same shot as you run now and add 25HP at a time and watch out for detonation. The ring gap would be the least of my worries and you can always open them up a little, that's cheap.

I do believe the timing can be a little more aggressive, as my mistake of running 150 and 36* and nothing melted lol. Also running tr6 now to see. Before I would have been on 7's or 8's depending on pill. If that was FI and let's say 28* and tr6 and 150, I would have melted some plugs as I have before lol

Let me do some research and see if anyone has any input on that. So far, most say that spraying on corn fuel should not have race fuel injected from the stand alone. Just run straight corn. But one nitrous company said that using 110 race fuel will help read the plugs. So it is all questionable and I really feel like I am exploring ground that just isn't covered fully.

the whole idea for me was to get rid of the stand alone which I did. More beneficial for nitrous then just being on carb and e85, Iwouldnt have wasted my time then. So far what I do know is it's very forgiving as the time I stated before, 36* and 150, on my other setup that would have blown something up, at least plugs and maybe a head gasket. Some of the guys on yellow bullet have been running e85 for years from what I've been finding out and some are secretive on e85 and nitrous tunes for a reason. I'm just learning to read the a/f gauge to figure it out.
so far for me tr6 is working good on e85 on a 150 shot. I've been told by a few you don't need a colder plug. mean 6 replaces a 7, a 7 replaces a 8. as its a colder fuel and requires more timing to light it. From my FI set up its a big difference and amazing safer tune and I rang a safe tune before on race fuel or so I thought lol

We had a stock 6.0 in a single cab truck that made 286hp a the wheels on motor and sprayed 400 on 93 pump gas. It really liked 350 the most, tried 400 and then 450 and hardly gained any et from 350 to 450. The other issue is we had a small feed line so it may not have been getting enough nitrous above 350. In our mile car (built motor) we spray 500 for 18 seconds on 105 oct unleaded. I dont think the E85 on a stock motor will help trying to run alot nitrous IMO.
