timing for nitrous and pulling for less power on hit my old setup I ran 16* for nitrous pass and 28* reg timing on FI setup 200 to 300 range, car 60' always mid 130's.
now I'm carbed, exact same motor. likes 36* I have the puck and I noticed the hit is instant compared to my FI old plate on my FAST 102.
150 shot shook the car lol, 30* So I'm wondering if I pulled it back to 16* will it help the launch as in soften it up as it would be down on power on the motor.
couple of my friends who run 4's in the 1/8th leave as little as 6* on the launch so it just had me thinking. I would even try less timing then the 16*
anybody ever try this?

Yes you can knock it over the head, so to speak, to get it to leave. Just make sure that you aren't band-aiding the suspension/chassis setup. I would look there, before taking any power out of it.

the 1/8th mile track I go to is known for lousy prep lol when everybody is complaining I still do pretty good. Just want another option when prep is bad, when I was FI I can hit 300 off an idle and leave good, then it was about 130's average 60' 9x28" pro Bracket radial. Also went from a 3:06 1st gear (4l60e) < miss this trans, to a 1:80 1st gear glide and 3:55's still. Going to leave the 3:55's as I work my way back up on the nitrous it should be good on the launch and top end charge. Out of the box (no tuning it went 6.52 105 1:52 60' NA) so my times in my signature should change soon
