Question Qustion ON DP Fueling

First of all do you need to run return line? Second if you have return line do you still need vent? Or whats the best way to set up the stand alone? For 200 shot what octane you run in the motor and what octane in stand alone.

11.1 compression.

I assume you're talking about a standalone fuel system for your direct port nitrous kit? If so, Derty did a good write-up on a very effective way to set up a standalone fuel system for a nitrous kit. You can find that article on www.derty.org

You do not need a return line. That is commonly known as a dead head fuel system. I've run it myself and it works great when you get it tuned in right. It also helps build a little more fuel pressure on the upper limits of the pump (which is why I used it). I found that the car ran better with a return line that has a small restrictor in it, like a .018 nitrous jet. You do not need a return line like a traditional fuel system though. While I guess you could plumb it up this way, the method I chose is simply used to purge air out of the lines and priming them with fuel ahead of time. Legitimately it returns to the tank, but not like a normal fuel return line does post regulator like you would for something like the injector fuel rail.

You do need a vent with a rollover valve in the tank. No question about it. Last thing you want to have happen is your fuel cell to pressurize from fuel vapor in the hot engine compartment / sun.

I always ran race gas in both tanks. Other people have run 93/94 in the main tank and 110 in the fuel cell. It all depends on how you prefer to do your tune up.

I have the holley black pump the holley regulator. I got -6 out let to y block (gage mounted on y block body), then to noids. return line is used from the other end of regulator, but its -6 still, if i run the restricter on return line (.18), would -6 make a diffrence over -4? I am running the TNT F5 kit.

Thanks

The only reason I used a -4 was that a nitrous flare jet can fit in a modified -4 AN fitting. It will not fit in a -6 fitting. That's basically why it's like that.
