Standalone fuel system with carb pump on EFI?

Default Standalone fuel system with carb pump on EFI?

my friend is a very talented fabricator...and was able to make me an aluminum 1 gallon fuel cell with some AN bungs while at work. Thing is a work of art...he also has a spare carb style low pressure external fuel pump and regulator that he was willing to let me have. My question is, if I plumb the system to my fuel solenoid like that, run 110+ octane in the fuel cell... can you use a jet size in an EFI wet plate kit with the low pressure pump that would create the same no2/fuel mixture ?

For instance (just throwing out numbers): If I am currently using say a 29 jet for fuel under 60psi of fuel pressure to accommodate a 200 shot, is there a jet size that would achieve the same effect under 10psi of fuel pressure? Only asking to save myself some time and money and use what has become available to me.

Yes contact the manufacturer of your plate and they will get you set up for low pressure jets on your plate for the shot size you are interested in.

Most of the systems will have a jet chart for high and low pressure for this reason.

Fantastic, thank you very much for the info I will do that. My plate is a Nitrous Outlet 92mm, I know some of their reps post on here sometimes...maybe they'll chime in.

There are baseline jet charts for this... Let us know what you came up with as your end result... I actually pieced together the same exact parts you're running about a year ago. But they've been sitting on the shelf while I built the new motor. All I need is to find the right size cell and hook it all up.

I will thanks, I found some baseline charts on Nitrous Outlet website...problem being I'm not sure what they consider my plate to be...more than likely just an "EFI Plate" as they say in the titles of the jetting charts I'd imagine. I'm going to call them up when time gets closer and figure it out exactly. I will post up answers when I have them for others to see/use... It'll be a little while, this will be one of the last portions of the build for this off season.
