Default LNC 2000 question

When hooked up, how can you be sure that timing is being pulled? I'm sure I'm being a little paranoid but I don't want to blow my engine!!

Haven’t used the LNC 2000 but I would think a timing light could verify the timing change if you just turn it on at idle

I don't think so because the nitrous isn't activated until WOT and I also have an after market pulley.

There's an activation light on the unit itself and when it is actively pulling timing the bulb flashes. Read the booklet, I don't recall the rate of flash, but I know there are a couple different flash patterns to tell you if timing is being pulled/two step is active/two step active+timing being pulled simultaneously. Unhook your solenoids and activate the LNC box and verify timing is pulled by the light. If you need to verify that the amount of degrees being pulled is accurate to what you've set it at you'll need a timing light. For every change you make to the dials box it needs to be powered off and then powered back on before the change will take effect.

12 volts to the activation wire is what triggers the LNC2000 to pull timing so with the engine running run a fused jumper to the Orange activation wire from the battery positive to test

You can also use a ohms meter on I believe the analog wire. In the booklet it says how many volts equals how much timing is being pulled

That's what I've always done.

You can connect it to efi live and log it.....I believe you can in hpt but I have used efi since I made a wire for it years ago.

Yes, you can. I have mine setup to log Nitrous Retard Degrees, and Actual Nitrous Timing. Works well...
