Nitrous plugs inconsistent
we were tuning the car on a 400 shot and running great until a ls7 lifter went in cyclinder 8 and 3. The cam gear bolts backed out as well notching out the cam gear sensor and breaking the alignment pin on the cam. The cam was destroyed as well. Car has standalone with vp no2 fuel and number 9 ngk plugs gapped at .22. We were pulling 15 degrees timing from 26 degrees on motor. Car was 10.0 afr first two pulls.
The car car is currently apart. Going back together beginning next week (different shop now). It’s getting a BTR nitrous cam, Johnson short travel lifters etc.
the plugs looked great except for cylinder 8 and 1. It started to melt the ground strap. All other plugs looked like they could take another degree of timing. Motor only has 2500 miles and first time actually turning it up to what I had it built for.
We will do a compression check when it’s back together.
I guess my question is would valve float cause the issues with two melted plugs? Maybe the cam gear causing inconsistencies of timing for the cylinders? Or the car being too rich? Or just everything played together wasn’t good at the time and just way too much going on to know at this point? I’ve sprayed a 200 shot handful of times and all the plugs always looked the same.
we are spraying the car again next week hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday and will check the plugs after every pull this time. I don’t have pictures right now.

Unfortunately I’ve been through many tuners and wouldn’t trade the one I got now for anything. Hes not far from me and his customer service is awesome. I have a car that always needs some type of attention and some people disappear after they get your money.
Ill let ya know how the next round goes. Trying to break the 1k mark. Plus we switched cams. Did have a BTR stage 4 ls3 and now it has the BTR 400ci nitrous cam.
