New to Nitrous - Setup Advice
I am set on doing nitrous. I have an LS3 6l80 c6.
Right now the car has kooks 1 7/8 headers, dsx flex fuel kit, 50lb flex injectors all tuned by me on HPTuners. The car is strong. The goal is to run a 150 shot as I have heard that is plenty safe for this motor.
I have been reading a lot and put together the following list for the nitrous build.
- 90mm plate kit
- Ls solenoid bracket
- Ls hardline kit
- Lnc2000
- Maximizer 5
- Remote opener
- NX EFI accessory kit (bottle heater, purge)
- C6 NX switch panel
- Also debating a remote opener, but I can reach back and open it where it would be mounted
Since the car is an auto, would I simply tune the Maximizer 5 to run from say 3000 to 6200? Would it shut off during a shift? I am also assuming the Maximizer 5 will completely get rid of the need for a TPS / Window switch as that is built in, right? Can I lock out 1st gear with this as well? I am assuming I can do that based on speed within the Maximizer 5.
Since the car is on pump E (65%) anything I should look out for?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks!
I will add in a gauge, sorting out my bottle bracket. Not sure if I want to run 1 or 2 bottles.
I have been logging Fuel Pressure, etc. Not seeing it run out. IDC is around 69% at WOT. Any reason to upgrade fuel pump? Curious your thoughts. Heard the stock pump is OK at these levels and mild mods. Assuming I am around 440 or so whp.
Our promax has the gear lockout feature you're looking for! It also has the window switch built in.

And if you do need one don't get one of those in line booster pump's.
An in tank one is the way to go.
Blowdown tube will be added.
I ended up deciding to do a standalone to not tax my fuel system. I did log actual vs desired fuel pump PSI and in not running into any issues at the moment.
I'm just try to decide between the coldfusion tank or the Nitrous Outlet C6 tank. Will a half gallon tank last a couple bottles?

Just pull timing with your lnc2000.
An intank pump is seriously the way to go with what you want to do.
Save your cash for drag radial's.

Pulling timing via hptuners and IAT relay.
With ethanol and the 150, I was advised that it would run out. If it won't, I wont spend the extra 800 on a standalone.
Would love a 200 shot in the future and figured standalone was safer. Still reading conflicting info on that size shot with stock LS3 internals.
