Default MAF kit distnace from intake?

Hey guys I am thinking about selling the NXL kit and going with a MAF or a wet kit. My question is if I go with a MAF kit my MAF meter is about 3 feet away from the throttle body. Does that make a difference? I have my filter at a dct at the bottom of the car so the nitrous would have to travel maybe 3 feet before it reached the TB. Anyone see any issues with that? Dave? Like maybe the injectors would be dumping fuel into the motor before the nitrous got there?

Just weighing my options.

No it will be fine. The way the maffs are desighned are just like the shark nozzle. In testing it shows that the fuel mixes with the nitrous turning into a fuel particle. It never driops out as a fuel droplet. If it did that is where you would get fuel puddling. The induction also sucks it in very quickly.

The MAF kit is a wet kit? I thought it was a dry kit.

Hey Dave know anyone that wants a 3 times used NXL kit? I am looking at just selling the rails with the lines to the NXL nozzles, injectors and the nozzles then going with an aftermarket rail, injectors and a dry kit. If I could make it a dead even swap that would be perfect.

I dont know any one at this time however I have seen several post here in this section where people where talking about buying one.Why dont you sell the complete system. You will be able to sell it easer that way.As for the for the maff kit it is a wet kit.Trust me dont get caught up in the wet or dry thing.Order the maff kit.You will never want another kit.If I was not running direct port.I would run that kit.It works just asd good as the 20920 but makes for a cleaner install. It also has a TPS switch.

I just dont want to have to pull the 14 foot line out of the car thats all. Plus all the switches I already have mounted.

Dave to are saying that there will be no problems since the intake velocity is so high with running a wet system that far from the TB? What size shot is the MAF kit capable of running realistically with no puddling or any other drama? I already have a 255lph fuel pump so I think I will be fine but I dont want to have to do the nitrous thing a third time to get what I am looking for.

The maff kit will flow 250hp per side.I would not spray over 250 without going Direct port.

just buy the maf kit, and swap over the parts your not going to remove.

lines, brackets, switch, ect.

then sell the nxl kit as a full kit, with new line, brackets, ect.

slow see thats why you have 2658 posts while I only have 486 posts you are thinking outside the box, didnt think of it that way. Only problem is I dont want to shell out the total $$ up front I would love to have it offset by selling the NXL kit

agree... its not the best way to go, as it is shelling out a lot of $$

only better way is to find a local friend who wants it, have them buy it, and get the maf kit.

or use the 30 days on a credit card interest free financing
