Lightbulb Methanol Injection With Nitrous?

I caught the nitrous bug a while back and its getting close to the time I take my engine out and rebuild it (forged rods and crank) I'm currently only running a 100 shot but really would like to spray more but am afraid of detonation because of too low of octane, question is, what about setting up a methanol type injection system where I have a alcohol fuel cell in the rear and instead of 93 octane spraying out my fuel jet in the carb, methonal will be sprayed......the car will still run on 93 octane, anyone see any problem with this idea? Also what about running say 85% Alcohol and 15% gas with lube additives mixed in, thought about that also.

I've used water/alky injection with my dry shot. My car was seeing up to 4 deg of KR during a run. With the injection on, it showed zero. Just a little insurance. I'm using Dave's halo kit to inject nitrous in the filter box, then I've got a NOS fan jet spraying water/alky down the bellows. It's a home-brew kit; a windshield washer pump from Walmart and I tapped the windshield reservoir with some Home Depot fittings. It's ugly, but it works...
