maybe not the motor, but the rear end if u hook up yeah. Nitrous is only as safe as the addict using it. save spraying out of the hole for the track and such. Isn't the zex kit a dry nitrous kit? also i think the zex kit comes with its own nitrous power box...acts like a window switch if im not mistaken, i had a kit on a 95 moostang gt.
Do some research on the zex kit. Learn more about your nitrous kit before you go spraying that would be my only advice to be honest.

From what little I've learned. Being a stick shift, no don't spray through the gears. Be a faster way of ruining your clutch/tranny.
Get a window switch to set what RPM's you want to engage and disengage the nitrous. Typical setup is 3000rpms = fire nitrous, 6000RPMS = kill nitrous.
Also get a WOT (wide open throttle) switch. That way, even when you arm the nitrous, it will not spray until you go fully WOT. (and with the window switch, correct me guys if I am wrong, even armed and WOT, it won't spray until it reached 3000RPMS. So you'll be pretty safe.)
Think that's about it. Nitrous Dave can help with alot of other questions or items you need. Basically any nitrous dealer can get you the parts you need.

if you dont have a window switch, and you have a manual, i REALLY recommend getting one, one mis-shift can be fatal.
