Question Stand Alone Fuel System?

I'm trying to get a stand alone fuel system going for my NX Kit. I've had a fuel cell fabricated that will allow me to use my stock intank fuel pump out of my 99 SS. Here's my questions:

Will I need a fuel pressure regulator? If so what type? I'm running a return line back to my fuel cell. I thought I could regulate the pressure using a fuel jet in the return line.

Does the 1/8" or so line coming off of the fuel pump have to be hooked up to the return line or just let it set in the bottom of my fuel cell?

Thanks

With an orifice regulator, it seems like the pressure would change as the fuel temperature changes. A regulator would provide more reliable fuel pressure.
