To a certain degree you are correct, but the ring HPE is producing is a direct violation and they will have all the paperwork in the near future that shows exactly what is covered in our patent.. I will have to say they did make a nice piece, but needs to do more research on the parts before you replicate them..

Can you post a good picture of the TNT rings? I can't find a good picture of one. Not even on your website.

And we'll send them straight over to the company we buy them from who is private labling them for us. We do not make the part in house. They are made by another local company who approached us about marketing them. Just fyi.

I'm seeing a major problem with the one I just recieved. The idea is great, BUT, the inlet side of these things is way smaller than the 90mm TB opening. My FAST TB opening measured out at 4.125", and the inlet side of this ring is 3.5". Even my TNT ring inlet measured at 3.6", so this thing is smaller than the TNT for a stocker. Once installed, there is a 1/4 to 1/2" drop off were the inlet of the ring meets the TB. This ring is totally defeating the purpose of my 90mm TB. With a stock inlet on the ring, there is no way I am getting the maximum air flow this set-up is capable of. Chuck, any insight on this would be great. The quality is great, but the stock diameter inlet for a 90mm TB is horrible.

The TNT ring is basically UN-patentable, it CAN be patented, but it would be too easy to make a different "ring" slightly different. Hell, you could make it square on the outside and you wouldn't violate a TNT patent. Or just call it a sleeve and make it wider. Some patents just don't hold up. I have 3 patents (two designs and a Utility) and 99% of the work the patent attorney does is to cover your products *** so someone can't come along and legally redo it and make a perfectly functioning "knock-off".

Yup, there is nothing TNT can do about it. All a good attorney has to do is explain why the new "ring" is better or just different in its function. HPE's just better not use the word "ring" when they officially name it. They should just call it a "spray spacer" or something totally different.

i was thinking to myself, that is a damn power ring,,**** is going to hit the fan,, i kept waiting for someone to open the can of worms, but no one did post after post.. i didnt have the ballz to because everyone was praising the product and i was thinking,,,what did they do put a different name on it and sell it..hell they even have the tnt noid/braket setup,,now that takes a serious pair to advertise your "ring" that is nearly identical to tnt's ring while still using TNT's braket and TNT's noids..

:::instructions for installing new ring...buy tnt setup minus power ring, go through instructions and cross out the word "power ring" and replace it with hpe ring each time and follow rest of directions..

Hmm this will be intersteing. When I first saw it I thought it was the TNT pwerring with a different label on it. Sort of like alot of other n20 stuff! I have a TNT power ring and it looks the same but it looks very nice and it a good ideas with the oversize. Im sure once the feedback comes in on them like Beast96Z had and if there isnt any legal junk then it will be a nice piece!
