Default How does an electric nitrous guage work?

hey, my 15lb bottle has a mechanical water filled guage mounted on the high flow valve thing, but the bottle sits in the trunk. I would like to monitor the pressure from the drivers seat, and i dont want to do a mechanical guage. How does the electric nitrous guage work? It would have a sender unit that i would have to put in between my main line some where correct?

I have a bottle valve, that opens and closes off the line coming out of the bottle so id want to have the guage before the valve, how ever, the valve connects straight to the bottle. is it possible to mount the sender like where the mechanial guage is currently at? or anywhere else on the high flow valve besides the main valve opening?

If I'm understanding this right, you have a remote bottle opening solenoid? Can you put the pressure sensor before that? I know NX has fitting that have accesory ports after the acutal bottle valve.

Could you use a pressure sending unit for an automatic bottle heater to suppy the electic pressure signal to a electric pressure gauge. This would make the gauge a whole lot cheaper as not having to buy the sending unit that is needed for the gauge.

its a valve that goes directly onto the bottle's main valve, and u can open or close the valve remotely, but u still have to have the bottle open by turning the ****. the problem is that this remote valve connects directly to the bottle, so how can i mount a sending unit before it. Isnt the guage on the bottle connected to a valve? can i connect a electrical sender instead on that fitting?

thanks.

I would think the easiest place to mount the sending unit would be right before the 'noid. Then you only have to run your wires to the engine compartment instead of to the back of the car.

Whenever I get off my ***, I'll just remove my mechanical gauge and put the pressure sender in it's place.

See, that way i would have to open the bottle and fill my main lines with nitrous inorder to watch the pressure on the gauge. I would like to monitor it before it gets to the remote bottle valve, so i can run a heater and watch the psi go up. If i do it your way, id have to keep the nitrous in the lines for a while till the pressure goes up, and that would wear out the solenoid.
