Default Spraying a 427

Has anyone had any luck spraying a alum. 427? I'm wondering how it will hold up. What size of shot for how long? Thanks Andy.

I would call Jason and ask him, but a 200-250 shot should work well. Oh, how I would love own your motor.

with your setup. 300 would be no issue!!! i would call MTI to find out, but 300 would be lots, 200 may be a better starting point, but with your whole setup, im guessing low 9' with a 300 and some practice. your options are not limmited im sure.
east side went in the 8's with a 427 alum block with ls1 heads stock suspended, so it can be done. hehe! big mike is going for it with a babby motor!

Thanks, I just don't like how high the first ring is to the top of the piston! The piston pin is so high to accomodate the stroke, I don't see how a custom piston would work. Thats the only thing that scares me. I'm tring to cover my bases.

yhea, i hear ya, i would talk to mti. they may build it to run 100% NA and tell you 100 shot max, or say put this in it and go nuts. they are who i would ask. but the block itself, im sure is endless options.

My car is at MTI right now. Almost put a new motor in. Now because of money I just put a new cam. LSX90,90TB, and Kooks 1 7/8. Talking to david at MTI, he and jayson feel 200-250 is okay on a 427. Just got to tune it right. Strokers are badass motors. My plans where to build a iron 408 and spray 300. But just had to hold of. I`m glad now, with the new LS2 block I might build differant now. Wait and see!!
