Default safe n20 level for street?

I'll be quick and to the point.
I've got a .030 over 454 I'm building for the street. Worked over iron heads, mechanical flat tappet cam with about 275 seat to seat time and just under .580 lift, 8.5:1 compression (for when I go crazy and decide to use boost ), I haven't decided on intake manifold yet but will be using a carb. Any suggestions on manifod type and what nitrous levels should I use and with what setup? Will a plate be good or would a fogger be better? I'm hoping to get a 300 shot or more but since it will be a real street car I can see giving up a little to be easier on parts.

200 shot will do nicely since your running such low compression. Or a 2 stage 300 shot like you originally planned.

I agree with toxic99 dual stage 300shot, go for it. A 454cid can take a 300hp shot better than a 350cid, using the same jets that is.

you will have to get a single plane intake to run anywhere near 300 shot so the edelbrock victor line of intakes would be a good idea.performer rpm would have much more tq but anything over 150 shot they say don't mix well.

Well I like that I can get away with a 300 shot, but if compression is limiting me I could bump it up to 9.5-9.8(as it is not built yet, I'm doing it all at once), would that net me more potential for the spray? Hell, if I can go over a 300 shot on top of 500+ N/A horses, I say f*** the boost! It is going in a small car(66-67 nova preferably, but I will settle for vegas, monzas, etc.) so 800-900 horse could get me into the 9's right? Even for just a couple of replies you guys are helping me out a lot. Thanks.

I dont believe that i would go over a 200 but i know guys who does it everyday, and never has an trouble

Go about 10:1 then. Spray 300 with a direct port setup and a progressive controller, it will be easier to launch and eaasier on the motor.
