That would be Drew778 (Andrew) times huh Mike?

Offaxis, yep, several off us in HI spray out the hole, myself and Andrew, Rex (35thSS) used to have a stocker sprayed out, Bode and ....... anyway. I hit the 200 a couple times, mostly 175 though, cutting 1.4s, Rex did as well. With the A4 its much more willing to handle it than the M6!

On mine, I had to replace the stock crush sleeve with a Ratech one, as it served its purpose and crushed, causing the rear input seal to leak. Other than that, no problems. Best 60' was using small 26x8.5x15" ET Drags.

OK heres one from an M6 guy...how 'bout....no fukn way. With drag radials, LCAs, SFCs and a gear, i just dont feel that its worth chancing the rear end (till i have the $$$ for a 9" saved up anyhow) to get an extra bump off the line. Them again, i do all my racing from a roll (just the way its done around here) so its not really a big issue. If you notice, all these people spraying out of the hole are A4s.

I've been hitting my 10 bolt pretty hard latly. Come off the line at about 3,000rpm on a 175-200 shot. My best 60' is a 1.60 on Nitto drag radials. I can't imagine the rear would last that long launching like this all the time, I have a Billingsley 9" coming this winter.

your right.put some slicks in there and your rear wont last on an m6.but you do all your racing from a roll so your alright for awhile.we do ours at the track or else you get caught racing on the street here your car get impounded and arrested on the spot.

A4's are SO much more forgiving on the rear end compared to M6's. People with M6's have been known to break the stock 10-bolt on a bone stock motor launching on slicks. On my '99 Z28 A4 I was launching with my 3200 stall and 100 shot on MT ET Streets and cutting 1.6's all day. No rear end problems at all. I plan on spraying more out of the whole with my current car also through the stock 10-bolt with a higher stall.

PHANTA-Z...if you read who posted this originally, in his sig he has an A4 as well. And it good that there are different strokes for different folks.

GM Muscle....sure it can handle for longer than many think, or I have a freak rearend, as well as Rex, Andrew and more. In the first 12 mo of racing my car, i made over 600 passes, with I would venture 1/3 on the bottle. And of those approx 200 passes, in one year, at least 150 were at or over 150shot. In HI we typically run a bottle ever Fri & Sat, and during events its typical to run a couple bottles *hard to count when theres normally 10+ f Bodies pitted together....* I chilled out the last 6 months before deploying, but still sprayed outta the hole, and when I get back, if I can find a new kit for good price I will do it some more.

I spray a 125 shot on 2.73 gears, but have a MSD switch set to turn on at 3800. Pulling 1.79 60's now, better in the spring...

I didnt mean it like that. I was simply stating you wont have as much forgiveness with a M6. As well, i didnt notice the original poster has an A4. Roughly half the time i wish i had an A4 myself, but the other half I am really glad i have my M6.

I feel the same about the M6 & A4 debate.... But everytime I hit the traffic jams I appreciate having the lazy box there. Plus its consistent.

I'm spraying on my stock 3.23 rear with the mods below. So far the gears are quiet as a mouse. But A4's are alittle easier on rears compaired to M6's. A good converter makes things more equal with a M6. The torque multiplication that a converter gives is great from a dead stop. But from a roll the M6 has an advantage , especially from 50mph. I had a 6-speed in my '99 SS and loved it as a daily driver...The A4 is boring except at the track..lol.

150 shot out of the hole stripped my spider gears the first time I did it. No 60' time. Some A4s are not too forgiving.
