Default How about this wacky idea...

I was talking to a very reputable engine builder and we were talking about one of his nitrous cars. His tuning/setup is very different than any others I have heard but makes sense. He is running a TNT F1 kit with a 250 shot. The nitrous side has the 250 nitrous jets but the fuel side has 100 jets. How does this work..... He later explained that they richen up the fuel by a set number and it adds the fuel to richen the setup to 11.0:1 without the large risk of spraying 250# worth of fuel through the intake.

Sounds like a decent idea on a race only car, not too great for street that won't always be using nitrous at WOT.

Has Pros & Cons. Which mostly have already been listed above, not cool having to run fat NA, but then again, many ppl flash a nitrous tune and street tune. And its not cool running so much heavy fuel through a dry intake either, so it would definately have advantages. Might have to try this one when I get home.

ok im not really getting this so he runs a leaner fuel jet and allows the computer to compensate for how much more to add through the injectors? how does it do that with a wet kit?

or he just runs rich all the time so when he pops the spary it runs the proper a/f mix? i dont see the advantage

oh ok i see what your saying now just tring to spray less fuel through the intake. why doesnt he just run a rich tune on a dry shot? if he doesnt use his car as a DD i think that would be the most reasonable way to do it. does anyone else agree?
