NX window switch killing my battery
I am running a very simple Dry setup and if I leave the system hook up over night it kills my battery. At first I thought was the battery, it’s the original AD Delco and replaced it. Next day she dead again. So start checking things out and find the Yellow wire coming out of the NX Window Switch is drawing .213 watts with the system and the car off. Can this be right it’s the only thing drawing power in the system with the car off. I would think it should be drawing 0 watts with the car off. Any help would be appreciated.
I believe you may not have it wired to the instructions. The yellow should be run to the relay that runs to the on off switch. If you have the yellow wired as shown in the directions there is another possibility. If you have power to relay and out to the yellow into the window switch if can leak through if you dont have the red wire on the window switch energized. It can also leak over to another stage if they have the same ground. I really think you need to start from scratch and make sure you have this wired up as the instructions show. also make sure that the red wire is hot anytime you have power going to the yellow or it will leak through the switch. hope this helps
