tr-6 question..

I have been told to gap it anywhere from .37 to .40 for use with nitrous. My plugs are on order, and should be here tomorrow and when I get them in I am gapping them to .38 on a 100 shot, but mostly NA.

50-TR6 is the part number, per plug, for the plugs at Thunder. I'm not sure about other sponsers. You need to make sure that you get the regular TR6, and not the Irridium TR6. Irridium coated plugs tend to cause problems down the road. But if you want the irridium's then knock yourself out.

anybody know what gap to set these at for around town driving and some nitrous? I want a good all-around gap for both, I don't plan on pulling them and re-gapping for n2o as this is difficult with headers.

3690 is the part number for the iridium ix set TR7 ix: two steps colder
NGK tech says that iridium holds up well under nitrous. He said that they recommend them. Tech's name was Tosh (he was very helpful in answering all my questions) Gap the plugs between .035-.045 depending on your bolt-ons but .040 should be fine for every day use.
75-100/125 on one step colder and 125-200 on two steps colder.
This was the second time I called and got the same information from NGK directly.

Sorry, I was busy this morning. I just got off the phone with them. NGK said that it will work fine on the ls1 also. There's no issues using them with nitrous. If you are going with a 125-200 shot, go for the 2 steps colder. The 3690 is the iridium plug. He said they come factory at around .040 but he would drop in down to .035 and you shouldn't have any problems. He hasn't heard any feedback about them not holding up.
One step colder is the 3689.
