I need your input..
Ok I came up with an idea yesterday and would like your input on it.
At a car lot..When you buy a new car they offer the service of taking your old car as a trade in.This helps them sell the new car to the guy that wants it now but does not want to mess with the hassle of selling his old car.
So here is what im thinking.
What if I offered a trade in program-
It would work like this.Say you have a single nozzle system and you want a direct port.It would cost more money to buy the pieces to upgrade to the direct port than if you just sold the system you have and bought the direct port. But you do not want to mess with selling what you have.So we will take your system as a trade in.
Now here is where it gets tricky-People get mad at car lots because they do not offer what the car is actually worth as trade in.This is so they can still sell it and make a profit off of it.It would have to be the same way with our program. What Im worried about is that people would be mad knowing there system could be sold out right for more money.
So do I do this. And just explain to the customer that they could sell it for more money but if we buy it this is what we will pay for it.
I know this program will not work for alot of people but however it will also help alot of people.
Pluss on the other side we will have a used side of the buisness that the budget guy can shop knowing that the system has been torn down and checked to make sure its alright before resell.
What do you think?

Sounds like a good idea...i'm a lazy f**k and i really hate people trying to talk me down lower than i am willing...i would trade in at a lower price rather than sell it away for the same price after having to deal with people talking me down...finding someone who is willing to pay full or near full price for what something is worth is such a PITA these days...i say go for it
Sounds cool to me, but then I work in the Car business
Just have a set price for certain kits and there conditions like the car business does. Xtra Clean, Clean, Fair, Tore the **** up!!!!

I think it's a good idea Dave and it would be great that you could offer people realiable used kits (most of the time you have now idea what your getting if you buy used). As far as customers bitching that you don't give them enough money, screw'em. If they think they can sell it at a higher price let them do the work and get what they can for it. I think the whole thing is an overal good idea and you know some of us guys switch kits like shoes so you could probrably do pretty good with it.

Or for the guys in a hurry. They would pay the set price and then once there system came in I would send them a check for the amount of there trade in.The guys that are honest about the shape of there system will be fine. The guys that try to pull one over on me and send me a pile of junk would have just ended up getting there system sent back to them.

I didn't get you thinkin did I Dave????
Trying to piece together a DP kit for myself has been a pain. If you decide to do it, shoot me a price on this brand new TNT F2 kit I have and we can get started on my DP.

I would be in the market for some of the used stuff, but beware, some people will do anything to screw up a good thing. This is an excellent idea that should be carried over to other sectors, heads, cams, etc...
Sounds like a good idea Dave, I have a TNT F-1 kit that I have only ran 2 bottles through and I have been wanting to upgrade it to a dual Stage MAF kit. I was just going to buy the conversion kit from you but this sounds like it would be a better idea anyway, just let us know when you plan on starting this up.
You have my buisness.
