Default 4 degree retard "feelable"

i'm about ready to spray the car and i just want to test the timing tuner on a dry run to MAKE SURE its yanking the timing....my plan was to go WOT and then flip the arming switch with the bottle closed just to see if i could feel the car slow down a little...

is 4 degrees enough to feel/hear a difference or do i need to get my buddies A-tap to verify the timing is being retarded?

the red indicator light DOES come one when i close the WOT switch so i imagine it works just fine, i'm just being overly cautious.

you cant tell the retard is ACTUALLY happening w/ autotap, because the timing tuner is hooked up after the ECU....therefore it cannot TELL that the TT is pulling the timing.whenever i pull timing w/ the TT, even if its only 2*...i can tell.

so i should be able to feel a slight difference retarding 4 degrees?

I have 5 deg pulled from my car, I can feel it mostly in throttle response. You can see my dyno #s in my sig, thats at 25 deg. timing w/ TR-6s at a 12.7 af. I feel i could easily see 365 rwhp with 31 deg timing, TR-55s, and a 13.0 af. To answer your question, use a scanner to be sure if your worried about it.
