Default MSD Window switch Problems?

Hello yall. Today i went to order a msd window switch from a sponsor. The guy told me that the regular window switches with the pills may work our not work at all for the ls1s because of our ignition system and voltage. He told me somtimes they have to send it back to msd for it to work and somtimes it works without problems. I am just curious if anyone had experineced this problems before? And he reccomended me to wait for the digital version of the window switch to be released. I am not sure if i can wait that long without going to the track. Another sponsor said they sell B&M window switches but i am not sure of the quality and fitment of that product. Does anybody know were i can find a window switch that will guarantee work my 98 Trans-Am ls1 car? Some info would be greatly appreciated. THanks

Yep, the regular style (not modified by MSD) seems to be a hit or miss for some people. It worked fine for me and probrably 85% of other board members. I know that Tbyrne Motorsports keeps some Modfied ones in stock and ready to ship. Not sure how much more they cost but I believe that MSD was charging like $35 to do the 5V swap.

Regular MSD style needs to be run on 4 cylinder setting i believe check at BMN Racing or something close to this made for F cars and has 1st gear lockout something worth checking into

Even with the regular one in 4 cylinder mode it still doesn't seem to work for some people. I don't think anybody has really figured out why it works for some and not for others.
