Default Which head gaskets for Nitrous?

Which would you guys recommend for my setup?

I will be shooting 200-300 on a stock bottom end, while the heads are off i will have them milled for flatness, I will also be using ARP head studs. The heads are 98' year castings

I still drive it on the street a little poblably 1-2K a year

Here's a few i have been looking at
Cometics
Flatout copper
stock GM graphite

TIA
Jim

Any MLS style gasket will probably get the job done. Cometic and Fel-Pro both offer MLS style gaskets for these LS1 motors.

You can also O-Ring the block, put a reciever groove in the heads, and use a copper gasket.

Hey i think a cometic is a good choice but it will not work with 98 heads without leaking water because the slot on the deck on cylinders 3 and 6 if you weld the slot so there perfectly flat then your good .

Not knocking the GM MLS gaskets as I have a had good luck with them. As far as Cometic they have recently changed theirs and I am going to give them a shot (ordered some today as a matter of fact) to go with the AFR 225's I will soon be bolting on.

I had problems previously with the old design but the new ones look very promising..

I will update as time goes on... Plan to put them to the test with 15lbs of boost and spray...

Harlen went 8's with stock MLS GM gaskets. I run a cometic but the only reason is because of the bore size of 4.03 on my motor. Now you can get a LS2 head gasket or a new Z06 head gasket for the bigger bores though.

Factory MLS gaskets will work fine. They are made in a similar manner to a Cometic.
