what happens when you spray on an empty bottle?
Just curious?
Most of the time it just stumbles, backfires a bit, run like crap, etc.
So lets look at the extreme spray no nitrous. The fuel will collect between the top and second ring. After a period of time that fuel will ignite and cause you to lift a ring land. Now you have a high spot, detenation is on its way. Piston breaks, puts a hole in the cylinder wall, screws the head up, and give syou one hell of a back fire.
Now this is the most extreme. This is also why you should always start with you mfg jetting. And always know how much nitrous is in your bottle.
I do not want to scare anybody, but alot of people think a rich condition is better then lean. It depend on the extremeness of it.

was just trying to get an idea what you feel or see and how quickly it happens, so I will know it and back out of it if it happens during a run.
it doesnt happen quickly at all. dont try to learn from TFnTF, how they "save the spray for later" so they dont waste it.
you wont run out unless youre drag racing for miles or have a 1lb bottle. a typical 10lb bottle can last for anywhere from 12 to 25 runs depending on the shot and if you have a heater (definate must have). so unless youre really low and you cooked the bottle just to get it up to pressure, you wont run out.

As what happens when you spray w/o anything in the tank, the answer is simple. YOU GET BEAT.
