now i know this is the wrong forum, but i didn't want n/a and forced induction guys chiming in on this. my question is, what headers are you guys running. i have pacesetter 1 3/4 with tsp ory, then a magnaflow catback, but i am contemplating on putting on the new 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 stepped edelbrocks. just wondering if you guys think it is worth it or not. thanks in advance.
mdblack- kind of depends on mods, most ppl dont take the time to go to someones webpage to find out what they have to recommend parts...but..in general stepped will increase top end hp while saving low end torque. I have been using JetHots 1.75 LT headers and I am only now considering going stepped. I have sprayed 175 and 200shots on the 1.75 wihtout any issues, but I am in the planning stages now for either forged bottom with loads of nitrous or FI, so with the increased power output, I am looking for the steps, or all go all out 1 7/8 to 2" steps.
just my thoughts.
mike#9, cant see that it would benefit you as much now, but with Heads and a healthy cam it would.

I have just no updated my sig from like a year ago.
Yep, agree with both considering all the other parts are there! Hell, I was just reading the header comparison, forget which mag it was, but they showed marginal gains using 1.75" headers over vette manifolds, like peak was 6hp (engine dyno). Which answered the question why you dont see many, if any, 1 5/8" headers for LSx. But the gains were much better using the 1 7/8" headers over the vette manifolds on half bolt-on engine. Anyway, sounds like you wont be let down and as soon as I get back the US I plan on getting some stepped myself, or all out 1 7/8". Good luck guys and have fun modding.

I run an 1 7/8 kooks, I wish now i got the 1 7/8 to 2", but oh well.
on your set up now i would say go 1 3/4 to 1 7/8
if you plan on adding to it and making more power which most of us are. lol
go 1 7/8, you will loose a little now, but make it up in the future.
jmo.
good luck

those macs are no joke. thats what i had a while ago, i pulled my stock stuff off, with no tuning and ported macs and ORY, i got 22 rwhp!
the macs are good stuff.

I would do the Kooks 1 7/8 to 2" stepped headers, seem to tbe the best on the market...I have FLP 1 3/4 system (Headers, ORP and ORY, but the pipes are oly 2.5", then a cutout and stock cat back). I am doing a bigger cam and heads now, and use a 200 shot. I will go with 1 7/8" to 2", 3.5" collector, and at least 3" ORY and ORP to the stock rear exhaust, and will use dual header cutouts and dual QTECH's
