What exactly does a blow down tube do?
i have my bottle in the spare tire compartment, and i drilled a hole right through the bottom and vented the tube out there. it really doesnt matter because you cant see the hole, and no moisture comes up in the hole. But anyway yes the tube has to be outside the car.

I had to round the blowdown tube gradually to follow the wheel well in the spare tire compartment, but if you put it in the front corner like mine is, you'll have just enough (~3/4" extra) to get thru the bottom of the car. *edit* How you mounted your bottle will determine how much extra you have, but you can get 1/2" aluminum tubing at any hardware store dirt cheap.

Verdad Gallardo Convertables do run by different rules at the track. Stiffer safety rules. I think they actually need roll cages at 13.999. And I'd still say a blowdown tube would be worth it. They're really not that hard to install, or conceal. Maybe a seperate search or thread just about nitrous tanks in convertables would yield you better results.

The new rollbar rules come in higher than my car ran stock.
That bites. Have to see how serious the local track is on
that one. Maybe I can get away with more at the "street
drags" than the "real" NHRA type events. Not gonna ugly
up my love machine, just cause it might save my life or
something. Priorities, man, priorities.
