Default Easy way to retard timing for spray?

I've heard of some add on boxes like translators or timing tuners for pulling timing under spray? Any info on these? A search didn't answer my question, I need BASIC info, like installation and how it works. Thanks!

I know you can get them at Tybyrnes (sponsor) http://www.tbyrne.com/ls1catalog.html
Easy to configure and operate.. A lttle pricey though IMO

You can also use HP Tuners to pull timing back on the juice. It's twice as much as these stand alone boxes, but 1000 times more functional.

Very True!
But can you activate a timing retard remotely with the flip of a switch when a cobra pulls up next to you at a light?

No, it was on all the time. I didn't need to worry about flipping any switches. Less wiring run through the car, no hokey switches to be installed. Programming is where it's at.

I guess what I mean, HP Tuners is awesome, but if you are tuned for optimum performance without nitrous then you need it, you will need to be able to retard your timing when using it. So if you are using HP Tuners to perform this funtion, you will either have to upload a different tune or drive around all the time with timing that has been backed down in the event you may have to use your nitrous sometime..

Are you running dry or wet kit. There is a way to do dry. N/A normal optimin timing, on juice tables will be accessed that normaly would not. So you log on spray then set timing were you want it and it does'nt effect n/a driving. You will need a tuner program though, but has added benifits.

Its a wet shot. I read that I don't need to retard timing since I am only spraying 125 shot max. Is that true? I also have H/C, long tubes, etc.

How about if your going to be running a cam with more than stock timing. Then how can you retard for quick nitrous use?
