I was talking to the guys who put my s/c on and they asked me why I don't have nitrous yet. They said all I would really need is a small shot, like 20?

Thats the first time I have ever heard of something that small. They said they have that size shot on their s/ced vette and it took off 8 tenths of a second!!!

 

Never heard of a shot that small but I guess it's possible.

 

they're probably referring to using the nitrous more to cool the intake charge more than actually ADD oxygen like it would on a N/A motor.

even so, most people i hear of who spray on a blower car use a 50 shot or so to get the intake charge temp down. you'll be getting the intercooling effect without actually causing as heavy an increase in cylinder pressure or fuel requirements.

 

holy cow thats small.we have a guy down here shootin a 75shot through his s/c viper.

 

Never heard of it. I think it may be for cooling instead though.
