Default new Question

What does anyone think in NX products that is
FOr the bottler heater vs the fire and ice,

I need a heater for my nx kit, and i just want to know what would be a better way to go genx or fire and ice.

thanks

Well here is how I feel on the heaters.
There are three that I like.
I like the slick look of the Nitrous Express. The black element looks nicer than any element style heater I have seen.I also like how the transducer has ends on it to where you can unscrew the wires to disconect the wires instead of cliping them.
I also like the connectors that come in the kit.

I like the price of the dyno tune.I also like the fact that the transducer is adjustable. It also seems to have all the needed items for installation.

I like the 860 heater because it is more like a hot plate. It also comes with a hex to wing adapter to make easy axcess of removing your bottle. With this kit the heater and the brackets are one peice. You will need no tools to remove this bottle when it is time for a refill.I think that 860 has trully came out with something that is unique. When I first seen this heater it was the only kind on the market of its kind.

I have looked at all three of these systems.I have hooked up and used the 860 and NX heater.I have never had a dynotune heater. However reputation speeks for its self.Customers let you know if something is not up to par.All three of these heater get great reviews on the boards. All three companys are ran by stand up people that stand behind there product.Look at the pros and cons of each heater and pic the one you like best you cant go wrong.

Dave summed it up nicely, all three are excellent products. Its just a prefrence, if you need brackets as well definalty go with the 860 unit. If you like the black heater element go NX. If you like adjustablity and money in your pocket, go DynoTune (www.DynoTuneNitrous.com). you can go wrong with any of them!

Dan,
I got the heater and control center today. Very nice
I cant believe how fast you shipped I placed this order over the weekend and I already have it
While I havent tried my new heater I can tell you I hated the controls of my NOS heater. I ended up bypassing them and whatching the pressure manualy. Your control center with my wideband commander will look

Just curious.

What specifically don't you like about your Zex bottle heater?

I've had mine installed for a year and a half with zero problems. Mine's on the rear window defrost circuit, btw. Very handy.

the reason i dont like it is because mine just will not get the psi over 900-950. i want something that will get it into the optimal range @ 1050psi.

remember if you increase your bottle pressure over the kits manufactures psi reccomendation it's like increasing your n2o jet and you could go lean.

well i thought on any kit that 1050 psi was the optimal range you want to be in. If that is not right then i wonder what mine is supposed to be at (NOS Kit #5177), i just bought the zex heater because it was a little bit cheaper.

Not totally true as some manufacturers set up their kits at 900/950psi like NOS. However, with a dry kit, as long as you have the capacity with injectors the maf will read the extra n2o (read: pressure) and make adjustments accordingly. Wet kits, if you up pressure on bottle and do not adjust fuel jet you could go lean. So, if you up your press on the 5177 it will be added hp to the manufacturers rated hp, but should not be a problem if your not maxing out your injectors.

I went with the nos warmer due to the fact that it is rated at 300 watts as compared to 240 for nx. The bottle will warm up quicker. However, the thermostats are set for 900 psi. All warmers should come with the temperature controlling thermostats. I dont remember the exact temp., but I think the nos warmer comes with an 82 degree thermostat. I left the t stats out once and it started to melt the rubber heating pad.

Kendo347, you can change the 85 degree stats for 95 degree'rs. In the photo section in my web is pic and link about the 95'ers. Pic # 38 I think. This will up press to about 1000/1050psi or so.
