Dry 100 shot, what else should i do to be safe
The mods I have done are in my signature. I have a dry 100 nos shot, i bought iridium plugs also. I heard I should upgrade the injectors and feul pump, Will I be ok for the time being? What else should i do before i hit it for the first time. And can anyone tell me just how much this shot will kick me in the ***?
I would check the duty cycle of your injectors with the shot. If it exceeds 80 then yes change them. Your pump shoud be fine but you might as well upgrade to be on the safe side. Especially if you continue modding. I us to run a 150 dry shot on my stangs but it did not seem to hit nearly as hard as a 100 NX wet shot. I thing the nx kit is underated in power.

Have you guys ever tried upping the fuel pressure before replacing injectors?
Im from the DSM crowd and just getting into my f-body now, what we would do if we got around 90-95% duty cycle, we would up our fuel pressure from the 43.5 (2g) to 50 or so. That would solve it.

You should never run at 100% duty cycle. With that much current going through your injectors you could fry them. It's just like leaving your nos solenoids open with 30 amps running through it for too long. Toast!

It's a waste to spend money on a purge. I would NOT waste my money, well I didn't.

I personally ahve never used one, neither has anyone I know. From what I remember, they were causing more problems that they were worth.
purge is good for when you are done with the nitrous and want to shut down the car at night..you should purge the lines so your noid(s) dont have constant pressure on them.
its a cheap insurance issue for you to bypass instead of sending NX your noid to have them rebuilt all the time

If you plan on using it at the track, you better give 'em a call and find out what safety pieces must accompany your system, or you'll get there and they won't let you run.
Secondly, IMO, there is no such thing as overkill (waste of money)when it comes to N2O safety equipment, especially if it's something you've never done before. Good Luck.

yeah, definately safety is what you want in all of this stuff, i wouldnt call a purge a safety device, but i do recomend them. it is an easy way to release the pressure in the lines so you dont have constant pressure on them. i dont have a window switch but it is a good thing to have, and i think that every nitrous setup should have a FPSS....... that is just my opinion
