Default Another "where do I mount this" question???

I know this has been asked 1000 times, and there is even a thread right below this one for the same thing. But the only pics in that thread are of an LT1..I have a 98 LS1 and can't find a good spot to mount the WOT switch. Anyone got any pics of how you mounted yours? I have looked all around the throttle body and can't see a good way to mount it. Thanks in advance and try to take it easy on me.

I was looking for something under the hood...I thought I had seen a pic of one mounted by the TB. But I guess that would work

Not the best pic, but I have it mounted behind the throttle cam. (It's the black-Sharpie-markered green switch with the metal tab). I have it mounted to the lower pass side TB bolt. Just takes a little finesse/bending of the mount.

I mounted mine very much like Bad30th did. I think that by the pedal is cool though, it makes it more hidden. If I ever develop my film, I will post some pictures of mine. I even took the wire for the two posts and coiled them around a screwdriver so that they look like springs. I have blue wires for now, but I am changing them to yellow to match my underhood colors, it kind of hides it a little.

Yeah! I know. I have a nice camera that is a 35mm, and I just haven't moved to the 21st century. My next purchase will have to be a digital camera. I have a nice photo printer, so I have the film processor just put my pictures on a CD and save it to my HD at home. I print out just the pictures I want, usually after altering them a little. the rest get saved.

I second the vote for under the pedal. I have had no problems so far with this set up.

if ya look to the left of the throttlebody on the intake, where the coolant pipes bolt to the intake/block...you mount it there to that bolt and when your throttle linkage goes WOT it'll make contact...if adjusted properly. i dont have any pics but if you want, give me your email and ill take one tonight and send it to you...i dunno how to post up here.

bryan_anderson03@bellsouth.net is my email.. I have it mounted but would like to see that pic. I used the bottom TB bolt and did some bending of the bracket, basically like BAD30th did.

on my kit i didnt like any of the choices for the WOT switch placement, so i wired it to a momentary switch that i can hold inside the car. this also works good because if the car starts to spin, i can just let off the button without letting off of the throttle.

I bought the Jimmy Jam's LS1 full throttle switch bracket. It fits perfect and is a nice, custom bracket. All you do is attach it to the throttle body using the bottom left bolt that holds it onto the intake. You can also get them in different colors. Go here and check em out:

They also have some cool ashtray switch panels here:
