LoL I just notice nine ball changed my user name lol. I've had the car for a while. need a little work. Do you think I should get some custom headers done or do you think I should just order like a already made ones. I'm confused. Guess I'll hold off till we put the motor in. I thought bout just ordering the header kit for a mustang and take the time to weld it all up. Wish I had a tig would turn out nice.

This is a dry info thread.

Something I just remembered, NOS recomended (a couple years ago?) running the lt1 kit on 97/98 vettes with the return type fuel system and universal wet for 99 and later. They said that they had no specific dry kit planned for vettes because thier testing had shown lean problems. I guess they didn't want the responsibility. I told them (iserviceassistant.com) that I was and many others using the 5177 Camaro kit and they had no reply. Interesting.

What kind should I look for. Some of the primaries I see look or seem small to me. Is there a certain kind of longtube? What kind did lane use?

We used some MAC 351W for a 87-93 fox body. Cut the flange off, modified one tube and about 4 hours later we had a set of headers ready to rock.

They are 1 3/4 primaries into a 3" collector.

I thikn Kooks makes some similar but they may make them with 1 7/8 primaries...Which is what id use anyway IMO with a 3.5 collector. Ls1's like to breathe
