DynoTune or NOS, as they are 300watts and NX is 240watts. 300 will heat bottle quiker.

We carry a NX and 860 bottle heater. The NX is a pressure regulated heater with a nice looking black heater element. The 860 is also pressure regulated with basically a hot plate and bottle brackets.

Took my NX heater 40mins to go from 750psi to 1050psi today, timed it. I'll trade it and the transducer for a junky NOS blanket straight across.

Edit: 15# bottle and low 60's out in shade.

See edit to last post for more details on that cycle.

Todays cycle: 45* out, 15# full bottle, started at 615psi heated to 1050psi and it took 1 hour and 15 minutes. I did notice the relay was warm (30/40amp spec) but have a 20 amp fuse inline from battery source, so it wasn't pulling to many amps. Is it just cold or something else, Dave? I want to get the bottle blanket cover to help heat faster so as not to try and heat cold air around bottle, think this would help?

I switched from the NX to the Dynotune because you can adjust how high it will go and then it only has a 50 psi drop before it comes back on. Set mine to 1100 and it turns on again once it hits 1050. NX heater would shut off at 1050 and then not come back on until it fell below 900, my luck was I was always sitting at the line at just barely over 900 and the damn thing wouldn't kick in, now I'm never below than 1050.

Robert- the cold weather is probably what is affecting your heating time, that and a 15lb bottle is going to take a while regardless of outside conditions. With the temps that you have to deal with a bottle jacket would be a good investment with any type of bottle heater. That way your only heating the bottle.

I would recommend our Fire&Ice controller. I know it is bulkier than the "normal" heaters, but it will keep the bottle pressure within a 5psi window of 1050psi. Also, when used in conjunction with out 45 degree bottle valve you can use the heater even if the bottle is closed, so if you know your going to be using the nitrous you can turn the heater on as soon as you get in the car.

Just my 1/2 cent, Uncle Sam takes the other 1 1/2 cents.
