To those that purge through ram air nostrils, in here!
I was fooling around, getting ready to install my nos 5177 kit and I want to purge out of the top nostrils of the ws6 hood. How do you all run the tubing there? I figured best way would be to snake the rubber tubing around the hood struts and up along the hood and tape the tubing to the hood. It just seems very ghetto to me and if there is a better, cleaner way then this, please tell me! Post pictures of your setup if you could. Thanks in advance

I used i piece steel lines on the hood that extend to of the hood and I have steel braided lines that go to my purge valves.. Just braised fittings to stainless lines... You can use steel brake line also.. I will take pics in the am and post them.

I have a camaro with the suncoast ultra z hood. I don't have a camera so I will try to explain how I did it.
In each nostril I drilled a small hole in the water baffle which is about 3 inches behind the mesh. I pop rivited the noid to the hood on the lower side that contacts the airbox when closed. I made a little braket the holds the noid on one end and has the rivit on the other with some sheet metal. the noid has a T coming out of it with brakeline running to both nostirls though the holes in the water baffle one into the mesh. The brake line is strong enough so it won't bend by the air hitting it.
I put the line and the and the wires in some wire loom and snaked a line though the hood and out a hole I drilled by the driver side strut. the line comes out right next to the stut and runs behind it down the driver side right next the the top of the fender to my main feed line. The only part that you have to really pay attention to is the amount of slack in the line. sit there and close the hood and peak at the line and make sure it doesn't snag on anything when it closes.
I have had this set up for about 3 years now with no problems.
