Default Still getting Detonation???

After the new fuel pump and finally scanned my car for timing. I just tested it out w/125 shot. Detonation when I first spraying. My timing is around 27*, then is starts to drop, maybe it will go as low as 21.5-23,but all in all it stays around 24-27*.

What does everyone think? Could I be running too much timing?

**If anyone has EFIlive, I could email them the file, and get some thoughts on maybe whats going on.**

Thanks for the feedback!

Jason

what octane fuel are you using...if your only using 93....i would upgrade to at least 100 and see if it gets better...if you are detonating it can only be a few things.....to much advace timing.....too low octane fuel.......and of course no fuel at all....is all your fuel pressure readings look good??.....also you maybe want to back down to a 75 shot and test it

The only octane we have here in Ca is 91. If I drop down to a 75 shot...and the detonation goes away, would it be a timing issue?

Thanks,

Try upping your fuel jet a size at a time, every combo is different. Also, engine temp plays a role, try setting fans down if you haven't allready. On wet hits you usually see a lean spike upon activation, the n2o gets to the cylinder first then the gas, does it go away right after intial hit?

I have a manual fan switch, so cooling the engine is ok. It will go away right after I first start spraying, usually within a couple hundred rpm's, like 500-700.

Thanks for the imput...
