Default Lsx ?????

Well I posted this in external, and internal, yet no replies. So I am here where I feel at home, and actually get some things answered quickly, so here goes. I just finished installing my Lsx manifold, and I noticed that apon start up my vac guage was very low, reading 10 hg in, instead of the usual 20 some, and there was no change at wot, is usually drops, is this normal, or do I have a leak?

I would lean towards a leak. Check your lines and MAP sensor as I have seen other post's where they are popping up and causing a leak. I used Loctite 587 Blue RTV silicone on mine because of that.Once dry it seems to form a pretty good bond with the intake. Good luck, I hope this help's.

Yes we have seen leaks with these intakes everynow and then.Start buy checking the seals where it bolts down.If that does not fix it pull it off and check the seals where the intake is fastened together. Before pulling it off spray some brake cleaner around the seals and see if the idle changes.

well, I'll check the map sensor, and seal it, if that is not the case, I guess I'll pull it when I put the cam in, idle is fine, like is was before the change.
