Default Timing Tuner users....Step inside.

I'm about to buy a NX Maf kit for the SS and was looking into the timing tuner. How reliable/effective is the window switch in it? How can you verify it is pulling the said amount of timing as a scanner doesn't pick it up since it is after the pcm signal. Any thoughts/input is greatly appreciated. Here is the list I've compiled so far.

NX MAF kit
NX Gen X II upgrade
NX switch panel
NX remote opener
NX filter
Timing Tuner
NX/MSD window switch if the TT won't do what i need

i was told to put a timing light on it and engage the timing retard at idle to see the drop. that way you know its working. you should be able to hear the idle change too.

Both the window switch and timing tuner of the unit are great (the only other ways to pull timing are to trick the IAT sensor with a resistor, spray a dry shot, or to go to a stand alone engine management system, like BS3). It can be a bit tricky wiring it into a system, but there is a lot of help on this board if you run into any problems. hourang is right, the only way to verify that timing is being pulled or added via the TT is with a timing light.

I would also like to know the answer to John02SS's questions cause im thinking of just going the timing tuner route for the window switch as well.

I'd say so, we have not run into any issues with it.
