Default Purge question

I have a purge on my used nitrous kit that I picked up and want to know how to purge. How long do I do it for? Do you do it before and after the nitrous runs? Thanks.

You do short bursts, just enough to see nitrous start to come out of the line. Essentially all you are doing is getting rid of all the air and unused old nitrous out of the lines, and putting new fresh nitrous directly at the solenoid for a quicker/harder hit. There's no need to do it after a run. Spraying it any other time just wastes nitrous.

Will the nitrous be more cloudy looking or something?

You will definatley see when the air is out of the line and nitrous starts coming out. I think it's also a good idea to purge when you close the bottle, just to get the pressure out of the feed line.

I was thinking about that. That would take the pressure off of the solenoids right?

Yes, purge before and after you run. Crack the bottle open and purge until you see a nice mist coming out.. Then after you are done with the nitrous close the bottle and purge the remaining nitrous out of the line. This can save ur solenoids and make them last longer.. Also could save ur engine from the solenoids possibly letting nitrous/fuel leak into your intake and then you crank it up and KABOOM!!

the purge isnt just to get air out of the lines, its also to keep the pressure the same all the time.
my purge is under my hood and has no hose on it, so i cant see it. i turn on the bottle, and purge till my gauge reed 950, and its on like donkeykong!!!!!
