Default Stock motor nitrous talk...

Right now, running tnt 150 with an inline pump...afr was a solid 11.8 all the way across

1st- do you think upping it to a 200 shot would keep the afr safe?

2nd - would putting in a 255 and running a 50 dry out of the hole and a 150 wet on top be more helpful than just running a 200 wet from 3000-6000

hmmmmmmm

no way

TTNT 150 hit is big, its more like everyone elses 200.

Even though the air/fuel is "where its supposed to be" thats not the only thing stressing the motor. Are you pulling any timing out with your setup?

A dual stage would definitely be "better" setup right, but you dont plan on that stock motor living indefinitely do you onthe 200 shot?

Yeah, I wouldn't spray a TNT 200 with that inline pump either. I did spray a TNT 200 a few times last fall with the intank Walbro. The pump seemed to keep up running the car at about 11.2-11.5 but the initial lean spike was pretty big, like 18.0.

It's funny you mention the wet/dry combo. I'm actually setting mine up this weekend. Plan to give it the 50 out of the hole and then the TNT 150 on top of that. I'll let you know how it works out when I get it up and running later this week. Don't forget that TNT is jetted for RWHP so, the TNT 150 plus 50 dry is about a 225 shot at the crank.

I was running a big 2 stage dry last year. I was spraying the bigger shot out of the hole and the second at 5500 for the cap. The only reason to run the smaller shot out of the hole is when your adjusting to available traction or lack of it. IMHO I used to spray a 50 out of the hole when i was running the 245 nitto. then a 100 on top of that. at the end of last year with a stock internal engine i was using 175 jets out of the hole with 150 on top of that burning over 3# per pass. no telling how much longer that engine would have lasted its in my storage shed still in one piece

Think you really need to list the mods. W/o knowing if your a HCI blah blah blah hard to say how much fuel system support you need. You might be looking at needing larger injectors, more pump, etc...

I should be running a 200shot from the launch here shortly, stock bottom, HCI. Good thing if I blow the bottom, I have a new one waiting to go in.

timing is being pulled....not much though only like 4*

and as for the tnt shots being off...i think thats the case more with the 75-100 shots...i put out more hp on the smaller shots (75-100) than advertised, but put out about 145rwhp with the 150 shot...about right on the money

ill probably just go with a intake 255 since its easy to do on the 98's just to be safe...then get it on the dyno again

I know of a few TNT 150 cars making 170 to 200 to the wheels. They are not off, they just move alot of nitrous

if its dynoing thru an unlocked converter 100 rwhp on a 100 shot isnt as much gain per jet size as 150 on a 150 shot the harder you push the converter the looser and more ineffecient it gets

Id go thru that tune though, you doing it yourself?
